Danger Zone for the week of 10/3-10/6

For the second time in 3 years Stockton’s been named the 7th most dangerous city in America by Forbes magazine, so let’s see what went on in the Danger Zone this week.

Monday Oct. 3rd

Homicide 700 block of N Madison St 3:55pm

Two parties were fighting outside of a store when one of the parties entered their car and attemped to run over the other party. The intended victim was able to avoid the vehicle, which instead struck a 3-year-old boy. The child succumbed to his injuries and died. Aushua McDuff-Brown, the suspected driver, was arrested later in the week in Southern California.

Tuesday Oct. 4th

Persons Shot California St and First St 9:40pm

3 males were standing by their car when another car filled with 4-5 dreadlocked black males drove by and fired upon them. 2 of the victims were hit and transported themselves to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Wednesday Oct. 5th

No significant incidents reported

Thursday Oct. 6th

Person Shot 1009 N Wilson Way 10:09pm

Officers responding to a call found a 33-year-old male lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim was uncooperative and witnesses state that he had ridden up on his bicycle and were unaware of any shooting. Police were unable to locate a crime scene.

Homicide 300 block of S Sutter St 11:16pm

Officers responded to reports of a motorist being shot and and driving away from the scene. Officers located the 31-year-old male victim a couple blocks away after he had crashed into a parking meter. Victim had a gunshot wound in his torso and he was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
