Danger Zone for the week of 10/10-10/13

It’s a slow week here in the Danger Zone. Yes, even the 7th most dangerous town in America has slow crime weeks.

Monday Oct. 10th

Wednesday Oct. 12th

Person Shot Filbert St and Main St 1:15pm

A man was walking in the area of Filbert and Main when he heard several gunshots. Victim realized he had been shot and flagged down a car for a ride to the hospital. Victim refused to cooperate any further.

Stabbing Arrest 2800 block of Country Club Blvd 9:55pm

A 44-year-old male pastor was loading up his car following a church function when a man he recognized from church services from the past couple weeks approached him. The man covered the pastor in what turned out to be a non-flammable liquid and attempted to light him on fire. The victim held on to his attacker to in an attempt to prevent injury when the suspect pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed him multiple times in the shoulder, neck, and leg areas. Other church members came to the victims aid and forcibly detained the suspect until police arrived. Victim is in stable condition in the hospital and police arrested 23-year-old Armando Flores, a transient from San Jose, for attempted murder.

Thursday Oct. 13th

Homicide 500 block of S Grant St 10:45pm

Officers responded to reports of a victim being shot and down and found a 61-year-old male. He was transported to the hospital and was pronounced deceased.
